YathraJalakam started as a Malayalam language YouTube channel with one simple goal: to share genuine, unfiltered experiences from the Malayalam community living in Spain. No sugar coating, no sponsored opinions, no misleading information. Just real talk from real people who are actually living this life every single day.

Who We Are

We are a Malayalam speaking family settled in Spain. We have been living here for several years, navigating the highs and lows of expat life — from understanding the Spanish visa system and finding accommodation, to building a career in a foreign country and raising a family far from home.

The person behind YathraJalakam works in the cybersecurity field at a Spanish company, holding a Highly Qualified Professional visa. This firsthand experience with the Spanish immigration system, workplace culture, and daily life forms the foundation of everything we share on this platform.

Why We Started YathraJalakam

When we first came to Spain, we had so many questions and very few reliable answers. Most of the information available online was either outdated, inaccurate, or written by people who had never actually lived here. We made mistakes. We learned hard lessons. And we realised that if we had access to honest, up to date information from someone actually on the ground, things would have been so much easier.

That is exactly what YathraJalakam is. A platform built on real experience, shared in Malayalam, for the global Malayalam community.
